J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Quick Tools mobile application (“App”, “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses, how it is used, and what third-party services may be involved.
Your privacy is important to us. By using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Summary
Quick Tools is designed to work primarily on-device and offline.
We do not require account creation, sign-in, or our own backend service for normal app use.
2. Information We Process
The App may process or store the following information on your device:
- Locally saved settings such as theme preference, haptic preference, keep-screen-awake preference, default measurement system, favourites, and tool calibration values
- Camera access for flashlight and magnifier features
- Sensor readings for tools such as compass and bubble level
- Device and battery information displayed inside the App, such as model, Android version, storage, RAM, battery percentage, temperature, or voltage where supported by the device
- Purchase metadata needed to restore or verify your Google Play entitlement
- Snapshots that you intentionally save from the magnifier to your device gallery
The App does not intentionally collect:
- User accounts or personal profiles
- Cloud-synced personal records
- Payment card details
- Contact lists, SMS content, or microphone recordings
3. Camera, Sensors, and Saved Images
The App may use your rear camera for tools such as Magnifier and for torch-related functionality on supported devices.
Camera images are processed locally on your device for core functionality. The App is not designed to upload your live camera feed to our servers.
If you choose to freeze or save a magnifier snapshot, that image is stored on your device or in your device gallery only when you request it.
The App may also access motion, orientation, and magnetic sensor data locally on your device to power tools such as Compass and Bubble Level. These readings are used for live functionality and are not uploaded to our servers.
4. In-App Purchases
If you purchase the Remove Ads feature, Google Play Billing is used to process the transaction and verify entitlement.

We do not collect or store your payment card information.
5. Advertising
The free version of the App may use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements.
Google AdMob and related Google services may process device and advertising-related data in accordance with Google’s privacy policies:

AdMob may process:
- Device advertising identifiers
- IP address
- General device information
- Usage data related to advertising performance
You can manage advertising preferences through your Android or Google account settings.
6. Local Storage
The App stores a limited amount of local data on your device, including:
- Theme and measurement preferences
- Keep-screen-awake and haptic settings
- Tool-specific preferences such as ruler calibration or screen light settings
- Ad removal purchase state
- Purchase verification timestamps or product identifiers
This information is stored locally to improve the App experience.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
7.1 Local App Data
Quick Tools stores limited preferences and calibration data locally on your device.
This information remains on your device until:
- You clear the App’s data through Android settings
- You uninstall the App
7.2 Saved Snapshots
If you manually save a magnifier snapshot, that image is stored in your device gallery and remains under your control until you delete it.
7.3 No Cloud Storage
Quick Tools does not use user accounts, cloud synchronization, or our own backend servers for normal App functionality.
We do not store or retain personal user data on our own systems for ordinary use of the App.
7.4 Third-Party Services
Google AdMob and Google Play Billing may retain certain advertising, transaction, or device-related information in accordance with Google’s own policies.

8. Security
We take reasonable steps to minimize unnecessary data handling and keep the App lightweight and secure.
However, no device, application, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Your Choices
You may:
- Deny optional permissions, although affected tools may not function properly
- Use the App without creating an account
- Uninstall the App at any time
- Clear App data through Android settings
- Delete saved gallery images directly from your device
- Manage Google ad preferences and Google Play settings through your Google account
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
